National Fees

  •

  • When a Candidate-Brother enters into our pledging program there are three one time fees that must be paid to our National Fraternity.

The financial obligations of each member enable Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc. to exist and offer benefits to more than 2,500 undergraduates and nearly 50,000 alumni members.

    2009 - 2010 Academic Year Fee Structure

    (Effective: July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010)

    Pledge Fee:  $99.00

    Initiation Fee:  $263.00
    Membership Fee:  $252.00

    What is the Pledge Fee?

The pledge fee is a one-time charge assessed upon pledging the Fraternity. This covers the cost of the pledge manual (to Better the Man Book), Pledge Pin, and risk management education (GreekLifeEdu).  The Pledge Fee is due to Fraternity Headquarters immediately following the Pledge Ceremony.  The Pledge Fee is non-refundable.

    What is the Initiation Fee?

The initiation fee is a one-time charge assessed two weeks prior to initiation into the Fraternity. This covers the cost of the membership shingle, badge and lifetime subscription to The Tomahawk magazine.  The Initiation Fee must be paid two weeks prior to the initiation date.  Failure to submit initiation fees by the deadline will result in the chapter being assessed a late fee.  The late fee is 25% of the initiation fee ($65.75 per person during the 2009-10 academic year).

    What is the Membership Fee?

The Membership Fee is assessed to every undergraduate member at the time of their initiation and is due no later than six months after initiation.  The fee supports education resources, administrative support, and the day-to-day operation of Fraternity Headquarters.
